I grew up in the town of Oregon WI where I attended and graduated from Oregon High School. My father was an Air Force Veteran and I have inherited his strong work ethic and self-discipline. My wife, Brenda, and I live in New Glarus and have for the past 23 years.
I have serviced much of District 50 as a telephone installation & repair technician for 20 years in both the residential & commercial markets. I currently work for the UW system. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, biking, history and geology.
I am proud to support various veterans organizations in fundraising efforts, such as, Hogs for Heroes, the Wisconsin Veterans Museum and Fisher House Wisconsin. I look forward to further supporting the needs of our veterans as a member of the State Assembly.
I am running for State Assembly because, like most of you, I feel that Wisconsin is headed in the wrong direction under Governor Tony Evers administration. My priorities will be:
Wisconsin one of nation's worst economies, ranks last in economic activity (WalletHub study June 3, 2024). Wisconsin had the second lowest change in GDP, as well as the second-least startup activity.
I will support policies that encourage new businesses and sustain growth of existing businesses, which in turn will increase personal income levels allowing residents to weather high inflation conditions and provide for their families.
Wisconsin's $7.1 Billion budget surplus is highest in state history! Meaning we have overpaid our income & sales taxes. Wisconsin has a total tax burden (property taxes, individual income taxes, & sales and excise taxes) of 8.32% of personal income giving it a rank of #26 out of 50 states with 50 being the lowest. I will fight to reduce tax burden on residents and reduce government spending and expansion. I will ensure that tax dollars are prioritized for citizens and veterans before noncitizens.
It is critical that our communities receive their share of tax revenues so that they have the necessary resources to thrive and keep our communities safe. I will work to see that our rural communities have access to broadband. This is critical for rural businesses, home-based businesses and also so that our children have complete access to educational opportunities.
I will fight for our farmers to be able to keep their farmlands productive for food production and maintain the beautiful landscapes that they have provided Wisconsin residents and tourists for generations.

Here is the new Wisconsin District #50 Map which was signed into law February 19, 2024
Wisconsin does not have a statewide system for reporting unofficial results on Election Night, and there is no central official website or feed where results are reported. State law requires that counties post the unofficial election night numbers for each polling place. The unofficial statewide and county results numbers that the public sees on Election Night and the days thereafter come from the news media, including the Associated Press, which collects them from the 72 county clerks’ websites.
Early Voting Begins October 22nd

This amendment would add language to the state constitution to provide that only U.S. citizens who are 18 years old or older can vote in federal, state, local, or school elections.
Currently, the constitution says, “Every United States citizen age 18 or older who is a resident of an election district in this state is a qualified elector of that district."
YES Vote supports these changes to the constitution and keeps noncitizens from voting in future elections.
NO Vote opposes these changes to the constitution.
If the language is changed to say only a U.S. citizen has a right to vote, it locks in that the class of people who can vote would have to be U.S. citizens. Wisconsin could become the eighth state to add language to its state constitution authorizing “only” United States citizens to vote in elections.
